[R] .Last.lib() not called when quit()-ing

This question is a spin-off from my previous one: "[R] Get the value of
'save' from quit() in .Last() [and .Last.lib()]".

I know that .Last.lib(libpath) is called when doing detach("package:MyPkg").
What worries me is that .Last.lib() is not called when exiting [R]. Should
I/we be able to expect that a package is detached when [R] quits?
