Peter et al,

I just tried here again this morning and still cannot get on. I tried
both from my WinXP and Linux configurations, just in case it was
something in Win.

We are just coming off our own power outage (bad storms) here in the
southwestern suburbs of Minneapolis, so I was just able to get back on
the net.

I can ping the main R Project and CRAN sites at 128.131.51.43.

I can still get to some of the mirrors this morning:

http://cran.us.r-project.org/
http://lib.stat.cmu.edu/R/CRAN/
http://www.stats.bris.ac.uk/R/
http://stat.ethz.ch/CRAN/

Though I cannot get to:

http://cran.stat.ucla.edu/
http://cran.at.r-project.org/
http://cran.au.r-project.org/
http://cran.br.r-project.org/
http://cran.ch.r-project.org/
http://cran.de.r-project.org/
http://cran.dk.r-project.org/
http://cran.hu.r-project.org/
http://cran.uk.r-project.org/
http://cran.za.r-project.org/
http://mirror.aarnet.edu.au/pub/CRAN

Hope that information might help.

Marc
