Nono. You just need to read what Duncan was saying: It's the shared
libraries *in the packages* that are referring to libR.so. Rebuild R
with
path/to/configure --enable-R-shlib && make
Then your old libraries should work (although I suspect that the ones
that you rebuilt now do not work....).
