[R] About building R1.6.1 on Cygwin

You are *not* following the instructions if you use the Cygwin version of
the compiler.  Those instructions are to build R for Windows (as they are
entitled), not R for Cygwin.

Building R undr Cygwin is not something you will find any instructions
for, to my knowledge.  Regard this as a new port and start with the main
sources and ./configure etc.  Expect to devote a week or more to it.

More seriously, REmbeddedPostgres uses libR.so which is part of the Unix
build of R.

There are omegahat mailing lists for omegahat components, I believe.

Then you don't have the Windows compiler ....
