[R] problem with BIC model selection

Hello,
I am trying to use BIC instead of AIC in the logistic regression model
selection.
I change "k" parameter in step() and stepAIC() functions to log(N) to
achieve that, but it seems to have no effect - I get exactly the same
models as with the AIC (k=2, default).
Is this a currently unimplemented feature?
Thanks,
Alex.
