[R] netCDF

I can't get the netCDF functions to work.  Any hints?

  open.netCDF produces the following error message

Error in .C("open_netcdf", filename, id = as.integer(verbose)) :
         C/Fortran function name not in load table

System win 98, R1.4.1 (binary distribution), netCDF (binary distribution)
