[R] simple simulation problem

Thanks for your tips Brian, David & Peter!

It works! I can get switch back from editing my LaTeX code to 
the actual content of my assignment for tomorrow!
The dumbest thing is that when I wrote my if conditions, I asked 
myself if I should use && or AND in R, and decided on trying to 
make a double condition the way I did, thinking it might work... 
and I didn't think of it anymore when trying to find why my 
function didn't work.

  *lack of sleep is bad*

oh well, back to work
