[R] Refresh x11 window in non-interactive session

R community,

I am running a non-interactive R session to plot results from an external 
program. R's X11 graphics window does not redraw itself after it has been 
covered by another window. Any ideas on how to make the window refresh itself 
automatically?  Thanks.
