[R] Function Dev2bitmap

I wish to use the function Dev2bitmap under R to record my graphs.
If i write this term, dev2bitmap(".../histo",type="jpeg",height=7,width=7) 
my program execute a big number of times and i can not stop it any more.
My question concerns this function :
How do i owe used this function?
