Fortunately, Microsoft left DOS behind with WinNT, Win2000, WinXP (and
just calls the windows command shell sometimes confusingly DOS prompt).

1.2.0 is roughly 18 months old (and since there were several versions
released in the meantime, it is really a good idea to report the version
you are using!). I cannot remind if there were any related problems in
it, but, anyway, it is highly recommended to upgrade to 1.5.0, or better
1.5.1, which will be released next week, AFAIK.

And again my question: Do you have a (recent) version of perl?
Did you install the required R source files (...\src\gnuwin32), which
have to be selected explicitely in the Setup-Wizard for Windows (if your
version is not self compiled)?
