[R] getting information from a plot / links in pdf

Hello everybody,

if I create plots with a large number of boxplots it is very useful to get detailed information for each box
(e.g. statistic values or sample names). Because all plots have to be viewed in a WEB browser
(Intranet) all graphs are stored as PDF files. Thereby, very small plotted information inside these
boxes can be displayed using the zoom capabilities of PDF.
To work faster and to keep the overview it is needed to get these information simply by mouse focusing
(without zoom) and (this would be great!) to link from such a focus to other data or WEB pages.
Did anybody have an idea how it is possible to get contextual plot data information or how to create
(pdf/WEB) links.

Thanks in advance

Regards,

Lutz
