[R] TeX error generated by R CMD CHECK

Your latex is 3 years out of date, the current one being
LaTeX2e <2001/06/01>
The error is occuring in hyperref, and my guess is that your hyperref is
also old.  doc/manual/README say at least version 6.56 is needed.

Please try a more recent hyperref.  You might get away with removing that
line in hyperref.cfg, though.
