[R] eps files

Hi,

I want to make eps-files of different histograms.
So I give the commands:
postscript(file="barplot.eps",width=6,height=8,bg="white",)
hist(dcoverlap, col = "blue" )

Then I give the command dev.off() and start a new session with the same 
commands and other files.
However, some eps-files contain the right figures (histograms) while other 
ones are empty (zero bytes)

Can anyone help me,
