[R] installing package maps

Sorry about that.  I have now put up maps_0.1-4.tar.gz.  The 0.1-3
version was fine on Solaris (which is where I had tested it first).
Unfortunately, I suspect that neither of these versions will work under
Windows, which is what prompted the changes to the sources in the first
place.

Note that the 0.1-X series is now (Unix-) platform independent, since
the map databases are created from text files (the earlier
1.0-X_[intel|sparc] versions included binary databases).  If anybody has
succeeded in getting a Windows version that also compiles and runs
under Unix, I'd be happy to test it (on Solaris, Digital Unix and
RedHat7.3) so that it can be submitted to CRAN.
