[R] JPEG from graphs problem

Dear R People:

I am using R version 1.3.1 for Windows.

I produce a graph, and save it as a JPEG file.
Then, when I try to look at it via the Windows Explorer,
I get an error message from the Microsoft Photo  program
of an Unknown File format.

What am I doing wrong, please?
