[R] reading tiff files

e1071 used to have read.pnm() for pnm images (perhaps after 
application of ImageMagik's convert(1), if you're on a Un*x
system).  Unfortunately, I can't find read.pnm() after 
an upgrade.packages() or two.  Looks like e1071 doesn't have
it any more.  Anyone know where to get it?
