[R] Testing R with pre-release GCC 3.0

Um, you mean base-Ex.R, I think ;^) Besides, it is generally useful to
make sure that the freshly built version of R is getting used, i.e.

[from the tests/Examples subdirectory]

../../bin/R --vanilla < base-Ex.R
