[R] the R package - relation to R project?

I've just been pleasantly surprised to find that a google search for 'R'
gets the r-project.org home page as top match. I was expecting that a
search
for a single letter would throw up all sorts of matches, and the R
project
wouldn't be among them.
I also tried searching for 'R' and 'Statistics', and top hit was the R
project
page. Fifth best match was someone's page about statistics of the R
series
of John Deere tractors.
Apparently Microsoft's C# languge is virtually impossible to find on
the web.
Google finds _no_ matches for C#...
