[R] margin problems?

par(mar=...) is the right idea, e.g.:

# changing the default for left side margin from 4 to 10:
  par(mar=c(5, 10, 4, 2) + 0.1)
  plot(1:11, yaxt="n", ylab="")
  axis(2, 1:11, labels=process.names, las=2)
