[R] Usage of R CMD INSTALL

I assume you want to specify a non-standard library location? Then what
you want is
R CMD INSTALL --configure-vars='LIBS=-L/mylibs' mypackage
This is really a configure (i.e., autoconf) issue, but maybe we should
say more about this or at least add a pointer ...
