mva is in all (funtional) R installations.

MASS should be in all R installations as of 1.3.0: it is a `recommended'

tree() in in package tree, though (get it from CRAN).  The examples in
Venables & Ripley should suffice to make use of it, although rpart is
preferred (by me, the maintainer of both).
