[R] Some questions about R-(D)COM

Brian is right. It is possible to compile the rproxy.dll (you even must do so)
using the same compiler as R itself. The COM server requires VC++ 6.0

The learning editions should do fine. Another alternative would be to use
VBScript instead, which ships (I think so) with IE4.0 and newer Windows versions.
