[R] Problem compiling R-1.2.1 on OSF4.0

Argh.  What kind of make is that?

Anyway, if e.g. in src/appl/Makefile.in you change the line

	@@WANT_R_SHLIB_TRUE@$(MAKE) stamp-lo

to

	@WANT_R_SHLIB_TRUE@	@$(MAKE) stamp-lo

the problem disappears (in that dir), right?

One you confirm this I will change R-release-patched accordingly.
