[R] R with multiple processors

Actually, R-Tcl is currently single-threaded...

Some of us do have hopes that R will gain multithreading some time in
the future, partly to harness multi-CPU machines, but also with the
hope that the general structuring of things like GUIs and other
event-driven progamming will be easier that way.
