Sorry, did not know that nohup was system dependent.

I use a Linux Suse 7.4 system for the interactive sessions
and a Digital AlPHA server runing UNIX V4.0F  (Rev. 1229) only for
the BATCH sessions (with csh). I use the server by opening a remote xterm
from
the Linux box. I'm using the alpha server because it's up all the time
while I shutdown my linux machine every day.
