[R] Exist the S 'dates' function in R?

Did you re-compile it for that version? The CRAN Windows zip files are
for 1.1.1. Several packages need to be re-compiled, including chron.
Come the release of 1.2.0 we will provide re-compiled versions. Your
example works for me.
