[R] Installing R on RedHat7.0

..although, as bit me earlier today, it isn't as if the compiler suite
that comes with RH6.* is too hot either!

Maybe it is time to take a closer look at Mandrake 7.2 (which
incidentally is the first distribution to ship with a *current*
version of R)
