[R] problem on upgrading to RH6.2 (was problem with ts package)

Simple Qs:

1) did you build R yourself or are you using an RPM?
2) If you did build it, have you tried re-building it under 6.2?

BTW: I think your subject line is misleading: the problem is with the
system upgrade, not the ts package. (And the package maintainer does care
about the distinction.)

I have no idea what is going on: ma is not a symbol in the ts package,
so the problem is definitely elsewhere. We do know that this works
correctly when compiled and run on an RH6.2 system.
