PaulH> Sorry for the repetition, unless I've got bad deja vu this
PaulH> questions been asked before but I couldn't turn up an answer on
PaulH> CRAN. Is there already any code in existence for local
PaulH> dependence measures such as Moran's I or Getis and Ord G?
?? (I don't think this was here recently...).

PaulH> Also, S-Plus has a number of interstingly named Cluster
PaulH> Algorithms based on some previous stand-alone fortran algorithms
PaulH> (agnes, daisy etc.) which have some interesting features (such
PaulH> as fuzzy clustering, and some potentially useful validation
PaulH> techniques). Are there any major obstacles to getting these to
    PaulH> run under R?
They are in the __cluster__ (contributed) package
and have been on CRAN for a longer time now
