Certainly worth a try.  Last time this sort of thing happened (printing
failed on a few systems) the bug was not in R but in other software
installed on the system, which can make this almost impossible to
reproduce.

Let me repeat what I originally said could be done:

Apart from that, please provide as much information as possible. Do the
other arrow keys work?  Does Ctrl+P work?  (If so, that's your solution.)
Do PgUp, PgDn, Home, End work?

I can see nothing that has changed since rw1001 in this area, except
the compilers used (and hence the header files used).  There are no
problems on any of our several test systems.

I am not sure the rest of R-help wants to know all the details, so please
send the detailed information to Guido cc me.
