[R] .rpm (splines, ctest) install problem - LinuxPPC

ctest and splines really *are* in 1.0.1, so overriding them with older
versions is a bad idea. If you must force anything, force survival4,
but note that everything in the contrib section is almost a year old.
If you have a functional build environment and a net connection, I'd
recommend simply saying (as root, or at least with install
permissions)

install.packages(c("survival5","rpart"), lib=.lib.loc) # yes, 5

(..which is likely the reason that the contrib has not been updated,
BTW.)
