[R] R installation

To get R-0.99.0a to execute in a directory other than /usr/local, I've
had to do the following
setenv R_HOME /export/trichodon2/R/R-0.99.0a   
./configure --prefix=/export/trichodon2/R/R-0.99.0a
make
make install
make check
add to the path $R_HOME/bin, eg. in my .cshrc

/export/trichodon2/R/R-0.99.0a is where I gunzip and tar the
R-0.99.0a.tar.gz on my Solaris 2.7 Unix machine.
