One can set the graphical parameter "ask" with the "par(ask=T)" command and
then source a file with a sequence of graphics commands. One will then be
prompted for each plot. To see an example of this feature type
"demo(graphics)" at the command prompt.

I was surprised not to find dev.ask when I looked for it. Is there an
alternative method of holding plots before going on to the next one?
