3 years ago I did some porting (as I remember only partly, with R version
0.5x or so), it is available at
ftp://ftp-stat.uni-klu.ac.at/pub/R/contrib/haerdle_1.0-1.tar.gz
but I agree that there are much better packages which do similar things.
And I didn't touch this port for over two years now, so I guess it will
not pass "R CMD check". If you really need this library feel free to take
this as starting point for porting.
