I am having some trouble with installing R 1.1.1

When I run ./configure --PREFIX=/usr/local/R-1.1.1 --with-g77
I get the following error:

checking whether g77 and gcc agree on int and double...
configure: warning: g77 and gcc disagree on int and double
configure: error: Maybe change CFLAGS or FFLAGS?

I looked at all the docs/install/readme/faq files i could find
and searched the list archives to get an idea about what to do.
No such luck.

Anybody got an idea on how to past this error?

My setup:
  Sun Enterprise 450 (4 x 400 MHz CPU with 8Mbyte E-cache and 2GByte memory)
  SOLARIS 7 release 11/99
  gcc 2.95.2 and g77 0.5.25 19991024

thanks
