[R] Problems with compilation of R packages.

I have installed R 065 in the directory /usr/lib/ R (Linux RedHat 6.0).
Subsequently I have add-on packages MASS and tree using R INSTALL namepkg.
To the command library(MASS) or library(tree) I receive the message: Error:
dynamic library (MASS) not found: The same thing for library(tree). Where
is my error?
Thank for your help.

PS. In the messages that appear during the procedure R INSTALL  is
signalled the following error: make:*** [*.o] Error 1
