[R] Installation of R in a Linux/Intel platform

It works for me! It is possible that the file has become corrupted
when you downloaded it and is therefore no longer recognized as an RPM
file. If you are using ftp, make sure you set the connection to binary
before downloading.

The file with the extension src.rpm is not installable: it contains the
source from which the RPM file is built.

Red Hat Linux/Intel 6.0 RPMS for R 0.65.0 will be available from
CRAN in a day or so, with RPMS for other platforms following soon
after.
