Hello,

I recently upgraded my glibc from 2.0.7 to 2.1.1 and now I cannot get R to
start. I get

	R : Copyright 1999, The R Development Core Team
	Version 0.64.1  (May 8, 1999)

	Type	"demo()" for some demos, "help()" for on-line help, or
    		"help.start()" for a HTML browser interface to help.
	Type	"q()" to quit R.

	Segmentation fault (core dumped)

This is with RedHat 5.1, kernel 2.2.1. I got glibc-2.1.1 from the GNU web
site and compiled it myself, then recompiled and installed R.

Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

TIA,
