I've been meaning to add a .Primitive function for some time and have
just done so.  It will show up in snapshots soon.  You will be able
to do what you want as follows:

	Mod.default <- Mod
	Mod <- function(x) UseMethod("Mod")

What did you have in mind here?  (Should we be thinking of building
this in).
