That is interesting. My CD-ROM with SC2.0.1 is dated August, 1995 and my OS is
Solaris2.4. Apparently my SunPRO is older than the date while I know my network
routines are Solaris2.5 which was released later..

I ran some timings too with similar results but Sun suggested there were
differences at maximum optimizaton which I did not test. Clearly I should stay
with gcc which I can afford to keep more up to date.
