Wentao,

I may be able to provide some information on the latter two of your
questions.

2) "...something wrong with the Graphics window."

This may be specific to the version, or your particular graphics
display. I could not reproduce the problem with ver 0.62.1 on a Linux
OS. If there is a manual 'screen refresh' function on your display, try
that (On X-Windows, this is usually at the bottom of the widget menu).
Alternatively, try different methods of raising the 'R Graphics'
display. Some systems raise a window without refreshing the display.

3) "...writing graphics to a PostScript file"

If you do not close the file with

	dev.off()

the file buffer will not be flushed, and the file will appear empty, or
incomplete. As most simple graphs produce a fairly compact Postscript
file with R, the result will look empty until the file is closed.

Jim
