R-beta: Legend again !

Hi, again !

I'm trying to add a legend to a group of graphs I have in one page
(using: par(mfrow=c(4,2))). The legend must be in one part of the page
so that it can be used to all graphs but when I try the lines type (lty)
disapears and only the plotting symbols still be there.

Why ?

the command I'm using is:

legend(3,160,leg.txt,text.width=2.8,cex=.6,lty=c(1,2,0),xjust=1,pch=c(0,0,1))
