R-beta: X gui for R

Ross,

   Does implementing a gui for R mean we will be able to use dialog boxes?
That would be nice.

  There is a locator function which interacts with a plot window 
currently, will there also be brush and spin plots?  Xlispstat seems to 
do those better than Splus, so I've wondered if R (being lisp-based) will 
have an advantage there.

  Perhaps I'm missing the point of an X gui.  What are the goals for the 
gui?
