R-beta: Postscript command fails -- apply patch1 !

Yes,
you must apply the patch    "R-0.49.patch1" (dated April 24)
which you'll find at the same places as R-0.49
---  and if you get and apply that patch, don't forget to take the 2nd more
extensive one also, i.e. "R-0.49.patch2a.gz".
