Re: Emacs S-mode.
I've spent a bit of time last weekend working on that (help() for R).
Using either the browse-url package (for Netscrape/Arena/Grail) or W3
(to keep it within (X)Emacs), I've started on a reorganization of
S-help. It'll be in the next version of S-mode (which will hopefully
be the last 4.9 version before we (Kurt, myself, with help from
Martin) tackle version 5.0, unless bug-fixs are needed). But I'm
looking at the next version of 4.9 in a time-span of 2-3 months, not
weeks anymore...
In particular, don't worry about nroff, and it shouldn't worry about
us (as long as you use the Holy Editor/OS!).
best,
