At WU we have an opening for a tenure track position in statistical
computing (previously held by Bettina Gruen who will join Uni Innsbruck
as full professor of Data Science), see

Ideally this would be someone who can eventually make substantial
contributions to the R ecosystem, including base R itself.  If you know
somebody who fits this profile and might be interested (and either is
about to complete their PhD or has done so not too long ago), can you
please pass on the information?
