Dear All,

Thank you very much for all your hard work. I am always looking forward
to the release dates since I am compiling each version of R on my local
computer for more than 15 years.
This time, unfortunately, I have some difficulties already when
extracting. When I do the recommended:
tar -xf R-4.5.2.tar.gz

I get the following message (more than 5300 times, but I think it is
enough to include it once):

tar: Ignoring unknown extended header keyword
'LIBARCHIVE.xattr.com.apple.provenance'

Despite, my experience, I can not exclude the possibility that I made a
silly mistake.
If it is important, I am running Ubuntu Linux:
uname --all
Linux Roland-Desktop 6.14.0-34-generic #34-Ubuntu SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC
Wed Sep 17 09:21:29 UTC 2025 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Thanks,
Roland
