[Rd] Customizing width of input in Rterm

Hi all,

When using Rterm.exe (on Windows, I didn’t check Linux) only a limited
number of characters is displayed in the input lines, independent on the
|width| option, and, when navigating through the command history this
becomes very uncomfortable, since a command is not fully displayed and,
for example, it is very difficult to know which parts of a command are
being edited.

I know, using Linux you can avoid using Rterm. And using Windows, the
first option is RGui. However, Rterm is the default for some editor/IDE
plugins/extensions, such as NVim-R for ViM or also for VS Code. In fact,
searching on the web for the reported issue, I found it reported several
times to the R extension plugin for VS Code.

https://github.com/REditorSupport/vscode-R/issues/1438

Would it be possible to allow longer lines to be displayed, at least to
the terminal width, or to customize the number of columns displayed?

Thank you for your time and for maintaining R, it’s a great work!

Best regards,

Iago
