[Rd] Rscript -e does not accept newlines under Linux?

 $ Rscript -e 'ls()
> ls()'
ARGUMENT 'ls()' __ignored__

character(0)


as well as using “\n” as a line separator:


 $ Rscript -e 'ls()\nls()'
ARGUMENT 'ls()' __ignored__

character(0)
