[Rd] valgrind issue in core R 3.5

I see this also on Ubuntu 16.04; simpler version is

.Internal(strsplit("raw", "\n[ \t\n]*\n", FALSE, TRUE, FALSE))

Looks like it is coming form inside a call to pcre_exec, so out of our
control.
